Can I save an image on a notebook page as a template in my gallery?
Answer: from www.mimioconnect.com Ask a Master... Master: Tracy Tishion
There are two methods, one for PCs and one for a Mac. On a PC, you simply right click on the image and drag it to the opened gallery. Now, release the click and you'll get 2 options: insert or insert as template. Choose the template and the image will be placed in the templates. You can rename it by right clicking on the image and choose properties. This is the place where you can rename it. On a Mac, the process is slightly different. First, you need to be in "multipage" view (accessed through the "View" tab at the top of the notebook.) Click on the page that has the image and drag it to the opened gallery in the template section. A small plus sign in a green circle should appear. Release the click and now the image is placed in the gallery. Once again, you can right click on the image to change the name.
How can I embed a YouTube video into a .ink file?
Answer: from www.mimioconnect.com Ask a Master... Travis Rink
One option that may work to fit your needs, is to use an external site to save these streaming video files. One free site is Savevid (www.savevid.com). Savevid.com is a tool which gives you the ability to download videos from streaming video sites. You can download videos from Youtube, Google Videos, Metacafe, Spike and more in FLV, AVI, MOV, MPG or WMV formats. Once YouTube videos have been downloaded through a site such as this, you can then embed them in mimio notebook. Click on INSERT > IMPORT FILE and then browse to find the file and click OPEN. Some files may not download but most from my experience will. There are other options out there to explore as well if you search for methods of downloading streaming videos.
